In part 1 and part 2 of BuzzSpeak we went over some of the words you might hear at a Buzztime location: Lone Wolf, Precall, Buzzie, and Buzztime Nation to name a few. In this edition of Buzzspeak we will go over some of the more unfortunate words and phrases that exist in the Buzztime universe.
Alt: Vodka Fingers - an excuse for missing an answer Alt: Asterisk - Pressing the wrong button, often one that doesn't relate to a numbered answer at all, such as the asterisk button. Sometimes done by players who don't watch what they're pressing and/or bother to check it on the playmaker's screen. As in, "You don't get points for answering 'asterisk,' Bob"; or "I would have had it but I asterisked." Related: Finger Fart (n.) The act of fatfingering. Wet-nap Exorcism - after a bad game or two, taking a wetnap to the playmaker to exorcise the 'demons' that keep making you hit the wrong answer button. The EGADS!!! Moment- When you look up and see your handle as an answer option Additional Info: The more you drink the more EGADS!!! moments you have.
Until next lesson... Good luck and good fun! BuzzSpeak Lesson #1 and BuzzSpeak Lesson #2 Comments (2) Share this page! |

Fatfinger: (v.) to press an unintended button, usually only admitted to after a correct 'precall' since that's the only time anyone else believes it's what happened.
