The U.S. government is making a strong statement that the future of online poker and poker (outside of Vegas) is going to be more about fun than about money. Luckily, there is already a way for you to enjoy Texas Hold Em' poker in a fun, interactive way. So head out to your favorite Buzztime restaurant or bar, enjoy some good company, and don't worry about getting caught! (Actually we'd prefer if you told your friends).
Go ahead and play as many games of Texas Hold 'Em as you want! You will be playing against other people in the bar and can use this time to work on your poker skills. You can try new techniques and put your poker knowledge to the test! We even have a freezeout style Hump Day Hold 'Em tournament every Wednesday at 7pm! Think of how much more stress free your life will be as a poker player if you can play Buzztime poker for fun, in a bar with other people, while you enjoy a good meal? Sure beats sitting at home on your computer, cursing at the screen everytime you get beat on the river, and lose more money than you would spend on a weeks worth of food (or night of debauchery) at any Buzztime location. Save your wallet, increase your fun and give Buzztime poker a try! Until next time... Good luck and Good fun! Comments (0) Share this page! |

Federal prosecuters and the U.S. government have shut down three very prosperous online poker sites. In a 51-page indictment filed in federal court in Manhattan, federal prosecutors allege that PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker, “used fraudulent methods to avoid restrictions and to receive billions of dollars from United States residents who gambled.” The pockets of online poker players won't be the only ones hurt as offshore companies like PokerStars, based in the Isle of Man, and Full Tilt, which is run from Ireland, generate more than $1.4 billion in revenues in the U.S. online poker market.
