As most poker enthusiasts know, and as the rest of you are about to find out in this blog, the federal government is not too happy about Americans gambling online. Millions of Americans play online poker (many an obscene amount), and with the U.S. government taking legal action against major online poker sites where will Americans that don't live anywhere near Las Vegas or an Indian Reservation go to get their poker fix? The answer is, of course, Buzztime!

Buzztime's card games will be temporarily suspended in the state of Oregon, effective January 25, 2011. Several of Buzztime's restaurant and bar locations have been instructed by state police officers to turn off the Buzztime card games because, according to the officers, these games are not permitted under Oregon state law.

There is one thing I have never done that I am anxious to do before I die: Go To Vegas during the WSOP (and play). Two weeks ago Buzztime sent long time Buzztime player/Buzztime Poker Guru Giveaway winner Tom Von Hoene to Vegas during the WSOP. This was his 5th trip to Vegas, but his first time during the WSOP. Needless to say, as a life long Poker player, the event astounded him.
